Today my wii wont turn on. No lights nothing, so I check the powercable is plugged in and it is, move it to another plug and it still wont turn on :/ Then I check the part that plugs in to the wii and I remember that there was previously  a light that used to come on on the base of the cable. Am I correct ? Is it just the cable that is stuffed ?

Where can I get a new one ?

I'm not sure where this light is that you are talking about.  I've checked my two Wii's and neither has a light near or on the power cable.

Core is the South African distributor of Nintendo hardware and software.  You can reach their help desk at nintendo@core.co.za.  They have a technical call centre for Apple products (which they also distribute) which can be reached by phone at 011 535 9250.  The same call centre may be able to assist with your Wii problem.

That's not a light. Smiley

I would take the Wii down to the local Hi-Fi Corporation or similar store and ask them if you can test your system with their cables.  They always have demo units set up.  And the people who work at these stores are usually friendly and eager to please.

I've had this happen to my Wii before as well. In the instruction booklet it actually tells you to unplug the power cable from the Wii and the wall, leave it for a few minutes (cannot remember the exact amount of time) and plug it back in.  I suspect it has something to do with the charge in the powersupply that has to drain totally before it will switch back on again.
